Otherwise known as “the victory,” this park is built on 48 fun acres in Dubai. Leisureland offers great entertainment such as international performances, a children’s fantastic amusement park, a bowling alley, multiple swimming pools, and also if you like the cold, try the ice rink. Al Nasar is also known for the fantastic cuisine in Dubai.

Dubai Wonderland is one of only four fun parks in the world providing 18 hectare of games. Wonderland is divided into 3 sections of rides, restaurants and numerous water rides and slides. There's also a roller coaster, cart racing and Splash land with a tour of the Caribbean. Some other favorites include Lazy River, speed slides, Surf Hill, twister, and wave runners. Another form of great entertainment is on Wonderlands Main Street, a nightly extravagant water mist show and water cinema is performed for all of its guests.
Wonderland hours of operations are Mon through Saturday 10am-11pm. Thursdays are family days.

Dubai Museum:

Located in Bur Dubai -The Al Fahidi Fort on Al Fahidi Street

The fort built in 1787 displays ancient artifacts found in graves at Al Qusais and years prior too The artifacts date back to the third, second, and first millennium BC as well as the Islamic era (Seventh - 13th Century). The Dubai Museum was established in 1971, displaying the history of Dubai such as on the creek, souks, and mosques. The fort in the past served as a prison, garrison, and palace. Additional galleries to expand the Dubai Museum were completed in 1995. At the Museum's entrance, the visitor can browse through a collection of old maps of the Gulf and the Emirates, together with aerial photographs showing Dubai's considerable urban expansion between 1960 and 1980.
If you are a music lover, you will enjoy a room devoted to music that will fill your heart. This room has a large display of drums, lyres, flutes, and bagpipes. There are other instruments located in this room that were used on festive occasions.
If you are a lover of arms, then you will enjoy the dangerous weaponry. There is a fine display of pistols, swords, spears, daggers, shields, bows and arrows
The museum displays pottery artifacts, also copper and alabaster artifacts, showing a tremendous amount of history. It provides history prior to the “oil days,” and the main fort is a military museum. The Dubai Museum also shows a magnificent exhibition of the pearl industry.
Dubai Museum hours of operation are Sat-Thur 8:30am-8: 30pm. Fridays 2pm-9pm. Price is US$ 80.00 /Adult.

Dubai Zoo

Located on the Jumeirah Beach Road
The Dubai Zoo is a small zoo, but displays many birds. Featured also are reptiles and Arabian species and exotic species like the endangered royal Bengal and Siberian tiger, and the beautiful Axis deer. The zoo also has the privilege of housing the Arabian wolf, which is no longer found in the wild. The Dubai zoo hours of operation are: 10:00am to 7:00pm daily except Tuesdays 3:00pm to 7:00pm.

Camel Racecourse

Camels are known in Dubai for Gods Gift to the Bedouins. The camel racecourse performs in Dubai as a popular winter local sport and serious business is being conducted at the racecourse. Camel racing is held on Thursdays and Fridays in the winter months of October through March. There are two stadiums that accommodate to families and nationals. Races held on the National Day and the Eid are particularly popular events. There is no admission fee for the camel races.

Horse Racing

Come and enjoy the worlds’ richest international horse race known as the Dubai World Cup. In March of 2005, the cup was worth $6,000,000. The World cup will have five Thoroughbred Group races and a Group for Purebred Arabians. The Dubai World Cup is supported by the UAE Derby, and the Dubai Kahayla Classic for Purebred Arabians.

The Creek

Runs through the center of the Dubai and began as the heart and historical point of Dubai. This is a natural seawater inlet full of color and culture. On both sides of the creek there are two cities known as Deira Dubai and Bur Dubai. The creek has fabulous shopping places called Souks, which run, along both sides of the creeks. Souks are known in Dubai as a shopper’s paradise, and have excellent bargains. There are different Souks for different desires such as a spice souk, or gold souks. The Gold Souks have the lowest prices of gold in the world, and there are over 200+ Gold Souks! All Souks are a must see! Deira Dubai caters to the spice and gold. Bur Dubai caters to electronics and materials. To explore the creek by water you may hire a boatman, or take a ride on the ferry taxi known as an abra. The price of an abra/person is US$ 20.00 leaving every few minutes. At the inland end of the Creek is a large, shallow lagoon, now a wildlife sanctuary that has become a place for bird lovers which havens 27,000 migrating birds around fall.

Al Boom Tourist Village & Dhow Dinner Cruises

Adjacent to Creek side Park & Located next to Wonderland Family Fun Park.
The village is open daily from 9am to 1am. This includes a restaurant, amusement park, a huge banquet hall, and five cruise boats to tour the lake. The boat cruises consist of riding in a wooden dhow, illuminated by romantic lighting, which includes a memorable fantastic feast of Lebanese cuisine. Relax and enjoy the scenery and nightlife of Dubai while sipping your truly decadent Arabic coffee. Evening boat cruises are from 7:30-10:30 pm and cost US$ 49.00/adult.

Bedouin Village - Al Maha

Taking a trip to Dubai is not complete without going to a Bedouin Village. Some local tour operators will offer the experience of a cool evening in a traditional way of life. How about being suspended in the air at 30 meters, for a 30 minute trip? Dubai has too many enjoyable ways to tour the city. This fun cable car runs along the creek side park going 2.3km. This is also another fun quick way to get a glimpse of the overview of Dubai. The nighttime lights against the sun setting is quite a beautiful experience.
Hours of Operation: Daily 8:00am-11:00pm (winter); 5pm-9pm (summer); Wednesday: women only. The 8-11tour is inoperable due to the summer heat.

Fun Sun Sail

Pick up from Bur Dubai Creek or the Jumeirah Fisherman’s wharf
This is a 2-hour sail in the sea on the Catamaran. Enjoy your sail in the sea by taking pleasure using the sailboats trampoline for sunbathing. Or for a little more excitement try bringing into play the Jet Rib rides, donut ring rides, and water skiing. Also, you can explore the crystal blue Dubai water with snorkeling and water-skiing. While taking in the scene of Dubai your 2-hour cruise will take you to view the infamous “palm island.” Don’t forget, the extraordinary design of this sailboat is the Jacuzzi net that dips in the cool blue water, a favorite of all.

Golf Courses

Though you may not be a golfer, taking a trip to the Dubai Golf Courses will indulge you with spectacular architecture. The golf courses of Dubai have the most luxurious green landscaping, and fabulous cool freshwater lakes of the Dubai desert.

Dubai has 3 major Golf course. Emirates Golf Club, Dubai Creek & Yaught Golf Club, and the largest championship golf courses in the world, The Nad al Sheba Golf and Racing Club with more than eight lakes.

The Nad al Sheba Golf and Racing club overlooks the racetrack and has a 100-seater steak house. Dubai is now know as one of the worlds most favorite and top golfing destinations. These golf courses host the famous PGA Championship Tournaments. Also, the Desert Classic, with your one and only Tiger Woods.

The Dubai Creek Golf and Yacht Club serves both as a signature statement of the golf course and is also a landmark of Dubai. The magnificent architecture of sails on the golf club house is fantastic sightseeing for the eyes. This course is lavishly landscaped and makes a little more demanding game, however playing this course will reward you handsomely.

The Emirates Golf Club, was the first golf club to be built, and has a Majilis building, another famous landmark in Dubai. The clubhouse is known to appear with Arabic flavor as Arabian tents. This course has superb dining, several bars, and sparkling pools. This course is for the weekend golfer, and for the more than average weekend golfer.

Dubai World Trade Center:

The Dubai World Trade Center (DWTC) being a magnificent state-of-the-art complex, and is the base for all Middle East operations. DWTC is located and reached with ease being a 15minute drive from the Dubai International Airport. The DWTC is a 39-storey office tower, established to increase trade and commerce in the United Arab Emirates in 1979. This has become a key figure of economic growth and prosperity in the Middle East. The Dubai World Trade Center provides three major ongoing activities in Dubai such as: organizing exhibitions, providing hospitality services and property leasing.

Some of the 110 tenants of the center include world trade businessmen representing companies such as Johnson & Johnson, General Motors, Master Card International, Schlumberger, and Sony Broadcast. The Tower provides an ideal location for the Consulates such as Australia, Italy, Switzerland, Turkey, Spain, Japan, and United States of America. The DWTC also has 492 serviced residential apartments, and a sports club.

To manage trading and commerce comfortably, located inside is a state-of-the art 200 seat theatre with audio-visual and translation equipment. There is also seven international standard interconnected and purpose built exhibition halls, a congress center, 3 fine restaurants, multiple banks, a post office, and a private members business club. For private functions, members may choose themed function rooms such as the Majilis, which has an exquisite traditional silk-tented roof. The seats are low and comfortable. It is used to hold Dubai themed meetings, or to simply entertain guests. Other rooms include the Pearl Room, the Windsor Room, and the Mogul Room. In the club, there are early photographs of Dubai and the Ruling Family. A special room is The Al Multaqua Ballroom, which specializes and caters to all kinds of events whether it is a press conference, product launch, a cocktail reception, a wedding or a gala dinner for a few thousand people.

Jumeirah Mosque

This is one of the most beautifully stunning sacred mosques of all Dubai. This mosque is made of stone and is one of the most photographed sights of Dubai. It portrays the best of modern Islamic architecture, and is a must see! Aim to see this structure at night, and see the beauty of the Jumeirah mosque as it is softly lit upon the Dubai night sky. Tours are at 10am every Sunday and Thursday mornings. Non-Muslims are unable to go inside unless accompanied with a tour, however tours are given at 10am Sundays, and on Thursday mornings.

Grand Mosque

Located on Bur Dubai side of the Creek near the Ruler's Court
The Grand Mosque rises at 230 feet, the city's tallest minaret. It has 45 small domes in addition to
nine large ones boasting stained glass panels, making it a distinguished landmark and important place of worship. It opened up in 1900 but then was rebuilt. The Grand Mosque is an important center of religious life in Dubai. Non-Muslims are not permitted to enter the mosque, but absolutely go see the minaret and take a few pictures of this captivating symbol of Muslim worship.

Hot Air Balloon Flights

Located at the Creek Park.
Hold onto your hat, and see the city of Dubai by floating into the air! Set your eyes on the sky and land of Dubai in a Hot Air Balloon as you have never discovered before. You can try a 15 min air balloon ride into the sky, which can hold up to 30 people. This is a 15 min tour. Hours of operation are 9:00am to 10:00pm. The Cost is around US$ 9.00/adult & US$ 6.00/child.

If you would like, have a go at another hot air ballooning ride. This is approximately a 1-hour stunning flight of the Dubai sky sunrise. The cost is US$ 212.00/adult. This includes a pre-flight safety training. After your flight you will celebrate with sparkling grape juice, and a delicious breakfast.

Heritage and Diving Village

Located near the creek mouth, in Bur Dubai

This village focuses on UAEs traditional past trading activities, local history, and has a display of potters and weavers showing past way of living. There are black and white photos that show an interesting past of pearl diving. Several shops sell their handicrafts, and camel riding is provided for enjoyment. After touring the Heritage and Diving village relax in the evening in an open air dining area and enjoy the live entertainment. There are no entrance fees. Re-cap your day of seeing the village display past sand-colored houses with bastikiya, which are wind-towers. The village also provides an interesting history of pearl diving, and pearl smuggling. The pearl divers would dive for oysters up to two minutes risking their lives. Photographs display pearl diving an important history of Dubai into teams of 10-60 people. The divers would dive only for six months due to the dangerous waters. The village is quite interesting to explore and learn the past history of Dubai especially while being displayed next to the very modern buildings of Dubai.
Hours of operation are daily from 9:00am-9:00pm.

Sheikh Saeed House Museum

Located in Bur Dubai side of the Shindaga tunnel next to Heritage and Diving Village

The Sheikh Saeed house is a national monument restored as a museum built from coral covered in gypsum and sand colored plaster. He was the grandfather of the present ruler. Sheikh Saeed house was the center of all political and social organizations while he was a truly respected ruler of Dubai from 1912-1958. The house was built in a commanding position near the sea so the Ruler could observe shipping activity from its balconies. The house shows the striking arab architectures, and represents fantastic Islamic art. The restoration work is astonishing with the beautiful detailed designs and carvings. As the house is divided into many wings, each wing is allocated with a different part of history showcase and displays the history and development of Dubai. The wings are another fine display of amazing architecture.
The house is distinguished with its four windtowers or otherwise known as the Al Barajeel. The wind-tower in the majlis (main sitting room) provides a traditional way effective air-conditioning that was used in houses during the hot summer months. The house has many rooms, verandas, and bathrooms. Exhibition of old photographs showing what Dubai looked like in past history before the oil was established is a treat. The exhibits include, stamps, documents, rare photographs, arts and crafts. Hours of operation are: 8:30am-1:30pm & 3:30-8:30pm Sat-Thur Friday 3:30pm-8:30pm

The Bastakiya

This is an old district that was known for the mass of famous windtowers lining the Creek on both sides. Best seen by walking, try the cultural center The wind towers were very decorative, but also an excellent way to cool the buildings and houses in the hot summer months. It has narrow lanes but is interesting to view the wind towers.

Burj Nahar

One of the three watchtowers guarding the old city, the restored Burj Nahar in its picturesque gardens in Deira is popular with photographers.

Bani Yas Square:

This is mostly known as a place to bargain for electronics, and consumer products.

Al Mamzar Park:

 Located approximately 5 km after the turn off to Hamriya Port
This is a delightful green grassy park to have a bar-b-que. Listen to the music of the park, and go swimming in the pools. This park is 106 hectares and has private chalets for hire, food kiosks, sheltered beaches and lovely safe lagoon. There is also a scenic train to catch and many play safe areas for children.
