Dubai also has a central business district which is divided into two parts - Deira on the northern side and Bur Dubai to the south which is connected by a tunnel and two bridges. Business hours are Saturday to Wednesday 0800-1300 and 1600-1900. Businesses run by Western staff might open Sunday to Thursday 0800-1700.
The official language of Dubai is Arabic but English and other languages are widely understood and spoken throughout Dubai. English is also accepted as a second official language for documentation and business means.
